Thursday, May 5 is the National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer Task Force has encouraged followers of Jesus Christ to spend time in fervent prayer for specific areas of our lives. We are asked to pray for our government, church, military, family, education, media, and business. Each one of these areas has far-reaching arms into our daily lives and we should keep these areas in prayer on a daily basis.
The sanctuary at East Maiden will be open on Thursday, May 5 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. If you feel the need or desire to pray in the church sanctuary, please feel free to stop in.
Scripture is clear that “the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective.” May we all approach the Throne of Grace with confidence that God will hear our prayers and heal our land!
