Through Lent, East Maiden is looking at the seven sayings from the cross.  These “BIG WORDS”  challenge us in a way that is inescapable.  We all must do business with the Cross of Calvary and these “BIG WORDS” bring the reality of the cross to the forefront of our lives.

“Today, you will be with me in paradise.” These are the “BIG WORDS” from March 20.  This is more than a promise of tomorrow.  It is more than a promise that comes when we pass from this life to the next.  This is a promise from the Son of God that brings the presence and paradise of God into our walk with the Lord….TODAY!  The promise of Christ is that in the present we are promised with the presence of God through the Holy Spirit.
