We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our final authority in matters of faith and practice. We believe that Jesus Christ, in His life and teachings as recorded in the Bible, is the supreme interpreter of God’s\r\n will for humankind. Along with the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we also affirm such traditional Baptist convictions as religious liberty, the priesthood of the believer, the autonomy of the loval church and the separation of church\r\n and state.\r\n

East Maiden Baptist Church is organized for the purpose of advancing and promoting the worship of God, through the reading and study of the Holy Bible as the revealed word of God, the teaching and preaching of the gospel of our Lord\r\n and Savior, Jesus Christ, conducting regular services of worship for spiritual training, development and benefit of each member and for the winning of souls to Jesus Christ. This church shall be missionary in spirit, extending the\r\n gospel through our organized religious channels to the entire world. The church shall exist to provide regular opportunities for public worship, to sustain the ordinances, doctrines, and ethics set forth in the New Testament for\r\n the church of our Lord Jesus Christ ad to channel its offerings to the support of the objects of the kingdom of God.\r\n

We, the members of East Maiden Baptist Church, covenant together to walk with Christ and each other in the fellowship of Christian love, to gather together regularly fir united worship, to search the Scriptures for understanding of\r\n the Christian way of life and to serve God and each other in love and humility.<\/p>\r\n

We will recognize the worth of each individual within our community, regardless of age or circumstances, recognizing that we are all precious in God’s sight.<\/p>\r\n

We will uphold each other in prayer and will offer kindness, forgiveness and mercy to each other as Christ has offered us.<\/p>\r\n

We will cheerfully give our time, talents and finances so that God’s work would prosper in this place.<\/p>\r\n

We will recognize Christ’s presence in every aspect of our lives and will seek to honor Him in all that we say and do — at church, in our homes, our places of work, school of wherever we are. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will\r\n seek to follow Christ throughout our lives.\r\n
