The Christmas season is one of hope, peace, joy, and love. There are parties to attend and lights to see. We put up decorations and buy gifts. Yet, for all of us, this time of year recalls within us loved ones who no longer celebrate Christmas as we do. We remember loved ones whose earthly presence is but a memory.
As a time to give these memories their due place in our Christmas celebrations, East Maiden will host a Christmas Service of Remembrance on Sunday, December 4. Worship will begin at 6:30 PM with singing & the spoken word. A Tree of Remembrance will be placed in the sanctuary and, during the service, you & your family will be given the opportunity to remember your loved one(s) by hanging an ornament on the tree.
We ask that you provide your own ornament to hang on the tree. Tags will be printed with the name(s) of loved ones to be remembered. If you would like to remember your loved one(s) this Christmas through this service, please contact our church office by Wednesday, November 30.
