Advent is a time of anticipation.  We anticipate the coming of the Messiah into our world.  Advent is a time of preparation.  We prepare our hearts, our homes, and our world for the coming of the one who comes in the name of the Lord.  Advent is the season of expressed hope, of heavenly peace, of uncontainable joy, and everlasting love.

East Maiden celebrates the season of Advent as a community of faith forever changed by the birth of the Holy One of Israel into this world.  Our youth ministry (Thru-the-Roof Students) will bring a new dimension to our Advent experience this year.  Click on the Advent tab (at the top of the home page) to see comments from several of our students writing as various characters from the Advent narrative found in the Gospels of Matthew & Luke.  You will hear, read, and experience Advent through the eyes, hearts, and faiths of Elizabeth, Mary, Zechariah, Joseph, and others who find themselves on the journey to the birth of Jesus.  On your journey to Bethlehem experience the fears, joys, anxieties, and peace of those who have been used by God to bring “peace on earth and goodwill toward men.”
